Flight simulator and dynamic behavior for aircraft models

Keywords: Simulator, Dynamic models, Mathematical models, Control, Aircraft

Abstract

The article describes a project focused on the investigation of the movement control of a scale model of a fixed-wing aircraft in three stationary axes, as well as vertical and lateral movements, using the main control surfaces to develop dynamic models that describe its behavior. . The purpose is to create a test tool for the study of behaviors that a fixed-wing aircraft could have in flight conditions, for this, aerodynamic data is obtained and its response is studied in order to generate physical models that describe and predict the movements of different aircraft. fixed wing aircraft models. The project is designed to provide a visual representation of aircraft behavior during different phases of flight in a confined control volume with restricted movement. This control volume will be used to simulate different flight conditions with a flow generator and will allow data to be collected on the performance of the aircraft. This control volume will allow testing of different types of model aircraft and provide a platform to allow movement limits to simulation specifications.
