Hacia una calidad educativa: indicadores de eficiencia y eficacia en México
Abstract
The issue of quality of basic education has become relevant today, especially because of the scandal triggered by the results of PISA these last two decades, where the young Mexican reached to figure in the last three places in a list of assessed countries. This essay discusses, at first, the theoretical construct of the term quality, in a second phase the development of the concept of quality in the educational context, as well as the legal framework of the term in Mexico, in the third part two essential components of education quality are analyzed, and its reality in the Mexican context is discussed, and where it is concluded that there will be no significant leading achievements if the Mexican state does not assume responsibility.
