The first steps of man in America: a brief review of some theories about its diffusion throughout the continent until its sedentarization

Abstract

The peopling of the American continent has been the subject of numerous theories, each of them amazing for its expectations, and some, crazy. Throughout the article we will analyze some of the theories about the origin and spread of man in America that have been developed, their proposals, and their authors. The reader will understand the possibilities of habitat and its origin. The prehistory of the American continent is one of the least known stages of America, mainly because the pre-Hispanic period attracts the imagination and enthusiasm of many readers: the Incas, the Aztecs, the Mayans. But, as we will show, the Paleoindian period is a very interesting and fascinating period. In addition, the analysis of its evolution, its industry and its economy will help us to know the beginnings of the "great cultures".
