Behavioral rehabilitation through a virtual interface

Keywords: Rehabilitation, conduct, interface, virtual, games

Abstract

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a mental health problem that usually appears in childhood, generally from the age of 7, and is classified as a conduct disorder. The patient can perform physical therapy exercises prescribed by his therapist [3]. Neurofeedback is a type of process that measures brain waves to produce signals that can be used as feedback to teach self-regulation of brain functions. With the support of psychologists and therapists from the Helen Keller Multiple Care Center, a series of neuro-physical games and activities are proposed that are able to stimulate the child's brain functions and develop their concentration skills. The development of interfaces for behavioral rehabilitation is a great impact for society since it is of great help to people suffering from this disorder and also becomes an optimal way of operating rehabilitation.
