Abstract

The obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychology illness characterized for obsessions, compulsions or both of them. Obsessions belong to cognitive ambit, because they are irrational and recurrent thoughts or ideas, which generate anguish and anxiety, moreover they are considered unsuitable and unacceptable. Compulsions are part of behavioral sphere, since they are repetitive and excessive behaviors and they do not have a relationship with that you want to avoid. This disorder causes a serious deterioration in the sick person’s biopsychosocial wellness; for that reason it´s necessary to design effective intervention programs.
