Abstract
The book Demian by Herman Hesse (1), present the life of Emil Sinclair, a boy who goes through different stages in his life, and in which he is related to other characters fundamental to his way to find himself. Based on psychoanalytic theory, it seeks to provide greater understanding about this character in what seem to be the key issues in his history and for the presentation of this work.
