The construction of identity in modernity
A social process in transition towards uncertainty
Abstract
In this article, we seek to establish a perspective from which to start to explain how the individual constructs their identity in relation to the other, thereby assigning a symbolism and meaning to the social practice that they carry out every day and that allows them to go configuring in modernity a reality, changing, complex and divergent, which produces in the subject the uncertainty of the individualized world, characterized by the momentary and fleeting, which does not allow to root, nor to create links of belonging, a free and unrelated subject.
