Abstract

The present review of chapter one, Transitions of the directive management in the educational organizations, of the book The directive management in the educational institutions, written by the doctors Miguel José Polo Albarracín and Jorge Oswaldo Sánchez Buitrago, has the objective of knowing the need of the management in the area of education, it gives importance to innovation and updating of the governing body, as well as its institutional educational projects, it emphasizes the analysis of the environment, planning, organization and leadership. The actors that intervene to achieve the vision, mission and values are also considered with priority, all of this to reinforce the institutional educational projects. The work includes an investigation carried out in Colombia, sharing current problems. An added value to this work is the concept of prominent authors in educational management. Definitely, this is a highly recommended book for pedagogues, teachers and directors of educational institutions.
