Nursing: research and social compromise
Abstract
Nursing practice, traditionally limited to the care of the patient, has developed several other facets at the global level. Amongst these is that of educating the society and of practising nursing in a critical fashion, keeping up to date with the literature and innovating within the professional scope. In order to fulfill these facets and make Mexican nursing internationally competitive, the nursing student needs to be motivated towards professionalizing their practise and they need to be trained to become a life-long autodidactic
