Impacto de las prácticas de seguridad y salud en el trabajo sobre el desempeño de las empresas manufactureras de Aguascalientes, México
Resumen
Se evaluó la relación entre las Prácticas de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional (PSST) y el desempeño de la empresa. Las PSST fueron capacitación en seguridad y salud ocupacional; compromiso de gestión; procedimientos de trabajo seguros; participación de los trabajadores; comunicación y retroalimentación sobre salud y seguridad en el trabajo; políticas de promoción de la seguridad y salud en el trabajo; normas de seguridad y salud en el trabajo; y, evaluación de riesgos. El desempeño estudiado fue el de los ámbitos de seguridad, económico-financiero, ambiental y operativo. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de un cuestionario. Se encontró una correlación positiva tanto entre el índice global de las PSST y el índice de desempeño global de la empresa, como entre todas las dimensiones de ambas variables.
