Tastes and patterns of behavior of the tourist consumer in the Magical Town of Aquismón, S.L.P.

Abstract

This work, which identifies the tastes and behavior patterns of the tourist consumer in the Magical Town of Aquismón, SLP, is constituted in two stages and responds to recommendations of federal, state and municipal guidelines on knowing and attending the participation of visitors to contribute with information to the offer of existing tourist services.  In the first stage, documentary research is carried out and in the second, a research instrument is designed according to Brown's proposal (1980, p. 21).  The results of the applied survey indicate, regarding the perception of the tourist consumer, that the majority had a great experience when visiting the Magic Town of Aquismón and that they recommend the site so that more people visit it.  There are factors of tourist offer that positively affect the perception of the visitor, among which are, mainly, Food, Accommodation, handicrafts, gastronomy and their preference for the Sótano de las Golondrinas and the Tamul waterfalls; however, tourists consider that the safety and hygiene of the municipality should be improved, as well as increasing transportation options.
