Las Obligations of Higher Education institutions with their workers regarding social rights
Abstract
On July 9, 1980, the addition of section VIII to Article 3 of the Constitution was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation; which considers university autonomy as a constitutional guarantee regulated in the Federal Labor Law. Likewise, chapter XVII was added that regulates work in autonomous Universities and Institutions of Higher Education by Law, whose purpose is to achieve balance and social justice in work relationships in such a way that they are consistent with autonomy, freedom of chair and research and the purposes of the institutions. Therefore, the obligation of the Institutions to affiliate their workers in the mandatory regime before the Mexican Institute of Social Security is born.
