Abstract

Data collection within an investigation involves gathering and measuring information from various sources, in order to obtain a general overview of the object of study. Obtaining these data can be done through different techniques and instruments such as observation, questionnaires, interviews and scales. The objective of the research will determine which of them should be used, although more than one of them can be implemented at the same time within a study. These tools are used in various sciences and once the information is collected, it must be analyzed to turn it into new knowledge.
