Abstract

Take back the economy, is a book inspired by individual and collective practices to rebuild the economy and contribute to well-being. The authors propose to reframe the economy and expand the meanings of labour, business, distributing surplus, the markets and non- markets encounters, the creation and reproduction of commons and the investing in futures. Expanding the lens to analyze the above variables aims to find ethical alternatives to live in this world with a finite resources in a sustainable way with the environment, humans and non-humans. In “Take back the economy” are analyzed two exes: community economy, as an ethical decisions place with which is possible to generate changes in consumption, production, and labour among others. In the other hand, diverse economy which identify the diversity of activities performed in the exchange in markets and out of it. The interaction between the two enable as to understand and create strategies which we can take the economy in our hands and transforming our communities
